PC Regedit User-Guide

We will give out an example on how to use PC Regedit.
In this example, we will show you how to delete a spyware boot key in registry file using PC Regedit.

1. Start up
   Insert PC Regedit CD, Set BIOS to boot from CD/DVD-ROM.
   The first page presents to user is : PC Regedit has found the location of the registry files and show the path for you.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Select Registry file  
   Run keys is alway stores in registry file SOFTWARE. So we select the file SOFEWARE to edit.
   
   


3. Enter edit mode
   we can find run key through the path "/ root/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/run"
   at path "/ root/Microsoft/"
   
   
at path "/ root/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/"


at path "/ root/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/run"


At present, we can see there are several subkeys in run key. There is one subkey with strange name "xxxyqq" . Windows do not have any base key with this name. Before we delete it, we can have a look at its value through two base edit mode:
(1) text mode


2)binary mode



Now, we delete the strange key.


4. Save and Exit
